Once the residence of Sir George Stephen, legendary Scottish-Canadian businessman, Le Mount Stephen is now a modern lifestyle boutique hotel, event venue and dining destination.

Serving daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night bites, and weekend brunch, Bar George honours its namesake with playful, thoughtfully-crafted U.K. fare dosed with Quebecois flair. Choose from among hearty mains such as Veal Liver and Black Pudding, Baked Sea Bass and Beef Wellington. Brekkie and brunch serve up Smoked Haddock Hash to George’s Full English to Pain Perdu. Top it all off with a mimosa or Bloody Mary, and Bob’s your uncle!

Cocktails at Bar George are stiffer than a Brit’s upper lip: Pimm’s cup, Dark and Stormy, Old Fashioned, and a Golden Square Mile Sour headline a full range of tried-and-true libations.

Given the mansion’s 300-year-old stained glass windows, 15-foot Ceylon satinwood paneled walls and 22-carat gold fixtures, one might be gobsmacked by the grandeur of the locale, however there’s a fair amount of whimsy thrown in for eccentric measure.
