Les Enfants Terribles Cantine
Brats are welcome at Les Enfants Terribles Cantine on Sherbrooke Street West, just down from the Museum of Fine Arts in Montréal's well-mannered Golden Square Mile.
Affectionately dubbed «le Petit Terrible» (but by no means lesser), this sister resto to the Bernard Avenue institution is Montréal at its best, with a hip serving crew, fabulous eats, impressive drinks and a decidedly urban Montréal vibe.
In Les Enfants Terribles’ trademark style, the Cantine is the perfect “just around the corner” restaurant: a cross between an English pub and a Parisian bistro that serves up honest food in a warm, homey atmosphere.
As for the menu, chef Nicola San José has whipped up an efficient menu of classic brasserie fare, including fall-off-the-bone ribs, juicy burgers, succulent Shepherd’s Pie and tantalizing tartars. To this, add gourmet bowls, a signature cocktail menu, a new line of teas, chocolates and ready-to-eat take-out meals.
The brunch menu simply to die-for, with healthy, sweet and classic choices alongside specialities the likes of Merguez Shakshouka or Croque Monsieur, awaits you on weekends.
With 60 seats in a chic, cozy atmosphere where naughty is more the rule than the exception, you won’t find a better spot to host a private party – no matter the occasion!
