Ashukan Cultural Space
Art gallery, boutique and unique cultural incubator, the ASHUKAN Cultural Space on Place Jacques Cartier works to bring Indigenous art to mainstream audiences, break stereotypes and foster cross-cultural dialogue. It is the first and only permanent structure dedicated to the dissemination of Aboriginal arts, artists, and cultures in Canada.
Showcasing the art and beauty of Aboriginal creations, the ASHUKAN Cultural Space is home to an exhibition space and a 100% native boutique with products that respect the principles of fair trade. Indigenous art, paintings, sculptures, etchings, jewellery, moccasins, beads and more are just a few of the many original and authentic items available for purchase.
Housed in a heritage building in the hub of Old Montréal, the ASHUKAN Cultural Space with two rooms featuring different atmospheres on two floors provides a remarkable venue for special events.
