Biiru

Restaurants
Downtown - Quartier des spectacles

Hidden in the shadows of Montréal’s famed St. James church, Biiru is an exciting Japanese tavern located steps away from the heart of downtown shopping and some of the city’s hottest action and attractions.

Not quite just a bar or a restaurant but a blend of both, this izakaya, which name means beer in Japanese, offers a great selection of imported and on-tap beer, traditional sake and hair-curling cocktails.

Whether you like your food raw, grilled or fried, the menu is brimming with an assortment of plates meant to be shared. Featuring delicious fried chicken, pork ribs and classic gyoza, sashimi, tataki blended with inventive originals like yuzu mayonnaise, and a mushroom omelette with truffle oil, there’s something for every taste.

Biiru's ambience happily blends Montréal’s cool, urban vibe with Japan’s wildly artistic yet iconic manga influence. Come with friends or family for a drink and share a quick bite after shopping or stop in for a cocktail before a night out on the town.
